Ma quanto era brutto…però che voce
The Blow Monkeys, gruppo musicale britannico, noto soprattutto negli anni ottanta, il cui stile rientra genericamente nella categoria del cosiddetto «sophisti-pop» che ha iniziato, nel 1984, come band new wave, trasformandosi in séguito in un act pop rock / funky fabbrica-successi, per poi diventare, infine, un gruppo dance d’avanguardia, acclamato dai fans e dalla critica, ma dagli scarsi risultati commerciali se pur con pezi che ancor oggi ascoltiamo in ogni compilation anni 80

I Bros sono stati un gruppo britannico attivo tra il 1987 ed il 1991 composto dai fratelli gemelli Matt Goss (voce), Luke Goss (batteria) e Craig Logan (basso), che abbandonò la band nei primi mesi del 1989.
Si formarono nel 1984, anche se inizialmente si diedero il nome Caviar. Grazie alle loro continue performance live vennero notati dal produttore
Il loro primo album, Push, uscì nell’aprile del 1988, per l’etichetta CBS e raggiunse in Italia un buon numero 7. In Inghilterra arrivò invece fino al #2, trainato anche da una manciata di singoli orecchiabili: “I Owe You Nothing” (UK #1), “When Will I Be Famous?” (UK #2), “Drop the Boy” (UK #2), il doppio lato A “Cat Among the Pigeons” / “Silent Night” (UK #2) e “I Quit” (UK #4).

Grazie alla loro avvenenza fisica, ebbero un grande successo tra le ragazzine, anche se, ad oggi, si contano numerosi fans di sesso maschile nelle varie mailing list e nei forum. Il fenomeno Bros diede luogo, alla fine degli anni ottanta, alla celeberrima Brosmania, isteria collettiva ancora maggiore di quella che aveva caratterizzato il periodo d’oro dei Duran Duran, all’inizio degli anni ottanta, e precedente quella che avrebbe invece reso famosi i Take That, negli anni novanta.
Debutto sulla scena mondiale nel 1984/85 per Billy Ocean con il suo singolo Caribbean Queen. Sonorità assolutamente primi anni 80 e con un ritornello che ricorda moltissimi “is not my son” di Billy Jean di michael jackson

Chi non ha mai sognato di ripete la scena mitica del film IL TEMPO DELLE MELE in una di quelle festicciole di compleanno dei ns tempi?
In quegli anni le feste di compleanno erano realmente momenti intimi di divertimento e balletti tra piccoli innamorati.
